Applicants wishing to undertake research at the University of Cambridge in the forthcoming academic year who are enrolled in the PhD program at that institution.

Through the Cambridge International Scholarships and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards, all students who get the highest grades, regardless of nationality, will receive complete financial support to pursue PhD studies. A university committee will compile the scores of all Ph.D. candidates from all fields into a single list. The only factors considered in the process of creating this list were academic credentials, potential for future research, and references. The financial situation of candidates is not taken into consideration during the scholarship selection process.

When it is appropriate, the Trust will encourage recipients of Vice-Chancellor’s Awards and Cambridge International Scholarships to apply for other full-cost awards with partner institutions, UK Research Councils, departments, or colleges that are willing to cover all or a portion of the scholarship’s cost to increase the number of Cambridge scholarships given out. If a scholarship is offered in part, the trust will pay the remaining costs.
